Jamie & Dave- November 22nd, 2008

This video is a indication of what 2009 will look like for Switzerfilm. The location for the wedding was in Highland. Weather was FREEZING with a 15 degree wind chill but that didn't stop the bride from getting amazing pictures and video done at a brewery, train/grain station, and a factory. Jamie and Dave didn't know what to expect for their SDE. We kept the song and ideas a big secret from them so it was a surprise. Highland Machine was kind enough to re-open their factory for us where the hero of the day (Kevin Hemann) spent his day off guiding us around the factory and he eventually became known as "fog man" and "spiderman leg holder" lol

This is our last video of the year until after Christmas. So for all you Switzerfilm wedding video stalkers out there........you will have to wait until 2009 for another video. I think that there is no better way to end the year than watching Jamie and Dave's SDE.

Lisa & Matt- November 15th, 2008

"Lions, tigers and bears, oh my":)!! I won't give it away just yet, but when you hit play, you will understand...

Rain, snow and very cold conditions did not stop our couple's dedication to our craft, once again. Also, Lisa told me her family meant everything to her. So we tried to make that very special request, come to life in her video. Lisa, you are one very special girl and Mom, it was an honor being a part of your big day. Matt, I guess you were OK too:)...KIDDING BROTHER! Both of you are so great and you have one amazing family. Mark and I loved working with you too!

My personal favorite Same-Day of the Year, ENJOY!!!

A special thanks to Derrick Keith from 92.3 WIL for providing the audio. The sound quality made this video rock!

Ann & Mike- November 1st, 2008

Wow, it's November already! Between Ann's sweetness and Mike's great personality, you have two amazing leads for this powerful same-day-edit. The dynamic duo as we like to call them, what a great couple! This is our second Buchheit family wedding this year, I gave Mr. Buchheit a special cameo in the video (he's the proud Dad smiling at me during the ceremony). Thank you so much Ann and Mike (and Grace), the great families and the rockstar wedding party, we had a blast. Mark made magic when he edited this masterpiece...ENJOY!

Amy & Nick- October 25th, 2008

It's not often we have couples request music from the R&B genre. This song couldn't fit this video any better. It was a beautiful day in St. Louis; the sun was picturesque and a gentle breeze made Amy's veil soar. This video looks like it was from a dream!

Jill & Brian- October 11th, 2008

A new change of scenery for Switzerfilm. This wedding was shot in Houston, TX for another dear cousin of mine. Jill is very artistic! She wanted a music video that is slower paced and very candid. If there's one thing this video does, it makes you think. The beat of the music puts you in an introspective trance. See for yourself...

Katie & Nick- October 4th, 2008

We did Katie's sister's wedding 3 years ago and were congratulated for a wonderful Same-Day Edit. It's amazing to think how many things have changed since then--HD cameras, Steadicams, and our style. It didn't take much to convince this couple to do anything we wanted. This goes to show that if you let Switzerfilm do their thing, the video will shine.

Emily & Chris- September 27th, 2008

Wow...do we love St. Charles! Emily and Chris were such a laid back, fun and great couple for us to work with. My song choice for this same-day edit has always been one of my favorite songs but I've always had a challenging time finding the perfect couple for it. I found them:)! From Guitar Hero, to "the Mini-Bike" riding, this wedding video truly showcases, love, friendship and most importantly, good times. Enjoy!

Jessie & Shane- August 13th, 2008

Jessie's wedding revolved around the "Switzerfilm" schedule and our schedule revolved around Jessie (so everything went perfect).

Yes - Jessie is my sister and all of us here are extra proud of this video. Jeff edited and Mark and Ashley filmed this masterpiece. We went out the day before the wedding and filmed some unique places out in the country. This video is quite different from anything else. It really tells a story like never before.

Amanda & Scott- August 23rd, 2008

Homeward bound! The Switzerfilm crew made the stop this weekend to my hometown, O'fallon, aka O'town, Illinois! What an amazing experience. Scott and Amanda, uhh, you rock. The crew loved you both! Even after I told Scott that I needed him to meet me at a local park to play the ukulele for some shots, he did not flinch, he was all over it! They were the perfect couple, for a perfect day, with a perfect song. A very popular song at that!

This sameday highlight is one that will always be very special to me. Scott the hippies of Folkworld music (the group that lent us the ukulele) said they've never seen the ukulele plucked like you did that day. You are a legend.

Wendy & John- August 9th, 2008

What a crazy family huh? Wendy was the most easy going bride of the year. The ceremony took place on the beach in the evening at sunset followed immediately with the reception. If anyone is thinking about doing a destination wedding I'm sure this video will make the decision for you. Wedding Party ---- Thanks for leaving the reception to jump in the ocean! lol

Lydia & Ryan- August 2nd, 2008

From Wineries to Softball fields to Late night Karaoke, this Same Day highlight has it all and was such a blast! AWESOME! Thank you to Ryan and Lydia and the Wedding Party for sweating out our first August wedding. You were such great ...sports:) (softball reference:). Click "play" to learn more about this so called softball reference.

Enjoy!!

Jasmine & Ravi- July 26th, 2008

It's safe to say you have the video of the year. You are both great friends of ours now and we hope to only see more of you in the future. I would like to give a "shout out" to all of the family in both the United States and United Kingdom. This was our first Indian wedding experience. I can't wait to do another. If anyone is reading this has not seen this video.....prepare for tears.

Jessica & David- July 11th, 2008

On a scorching hot July day we put together a beautiful compilation of shots at the Aviston Winery. The rain came and cooled everything off at ceremony time, forcing this outside wedding indoors. You can see the storm clouds in the background when the groomsmen are in the bridge...check it out!

Katrina & Matt- July 5th, 2008

Ahhh, my first family wedding posted on the Switzerfilm Blog. To my dear cousin Katrina, I can't say how pleased I am with how this video turned out. I would have to call my relatives some of my most harsh critics, but I think they enjoyed this one.

It was also a privilege to shoot in my home church and school. Of all the locations I've been to around St. Louis, this location in Prairietown, IL competes with the scenery.

Amy & Drew- July 5th, 2008

Kara & Brian- June 28th, 2008

I knew going into this wedding that this video would have a lot of potential. To Kara and Brian, the pictures and video were a very important part of their wedding day. This video shows some unique shots, thanks to the creative eye from June Hallowell and the willingness of the bride and groom.

The wedding party knew this was going to be a rough day for me, when they saw me scraping dried wax off my shoes at the hair salon. Fortunately, it didn't keep Jeff and me from producing argueably the most inspirational highlight video of all time.

Watch out folks, this Same-Day-Edit has power!

Kaci & Ryan - June 21st, 2008

To Centralia, IL... one of Switzerfilm's few "destination" weddings. Out of all the brides we've dealt with this year, Kaci had to be the most excited about her video. She was in our office with her lovely Mom more than any Bride this year. It's such a pleasure going into a same-day edit, knowing that we are providing the entertainment for the night.

To Kaci & Ryan, you guys were an amazing couple to work with. Thanks for letting me setup anything and everything. Your personalities are incredible, and your video reflects that.

Katy & Garrett - June 28th, 2008

You two let us do anything and everything with you.  Gotta give props to the wedding party for helping with the cameras and tripod all day.  Everyone was more than willing to loan a helping hand.

Wedding was at The Shrine of St. Joseph and the Reception was at Windows Off Washington.  The coolest clips are from the City Museum (where I think I ran a marathon following the wedding party and Burns Photography (“Rockstar” photographers)

Oh – and the wedding cake…….YUM YUM!!!

Jessica & Brian - June 13th, 2008

Its amazing how awesome rain makes video look.  The storms didn’t keep us from going anywhere. This is my favorite song of the year…..the tune NEVER gets old.

Everyone enjoy the puppy dog video shots!

Sarah & Scott - May 17th, 2008

What a weekend out in the country! Railroad tracks, a hometown church, barns, carriages, and a fallen tree that almost ended the wedding before it started! This video needs NO INTRODUCTION. This "Same Day Highlight" looks like it needs to be on CMT.

The video shots were extra special, because we FINALLY got some well deserved spring weather. An extra special thanks to Beth (Forever Photos) and Jennifer (Unforgettable Memories Photography) for letting us be their sidekicks for the day. We feel like they made the video "over the top" with their posed pictures.

I'll bet you can't watch this video just once.

Chasity & Courtney - May 3, 2008

We knew from the very beginning that this would be something special. Switzerfilm has had a blast putting this video together. We can't get over how great your friends and family were. Usually when we go to weddings we have to BEG everyone to be on the video. This wedding was OPPOSITE!

The wedding was beautiful and the reception was the party of the year!

One last thing - I want the guys in the wedding party to know that we have now adopted Remy Martin as the new Switzerfilm drink of the month! GOOD STUFF!!!

Sarah & Keith - April 26th, 2008

This Breese wedding rocked so much. Gotta love Breese, Ski, Wally's, and the Dairy King....oh yeah and the truly amazing people! St. Dominacs church is where it began and eventually we made it to the Shrine in Belleville for the reception.

Here is your Same Day Highlight from Saturday night. Big thanks to Sarah, Keith, and the wedding party....you guys made the video.

Someone else get married soon so we can see you all again!
